Nita Baum
Coach. Focused on elevating people and the planet, and with 20+ years as an entrepreneur, strategic advisor and leadership coach, Nita cultivates the potential for healing leadership in individuals, teams and organizations so new cultures of work can take root and equitably add to- not detract from- the wellbeing, potential and freedom of all.
As a coach and master facilitator, Nita’s commitment to the potential in people comes from an extensive background. She originally founded and led an equity driven strategy consultancy that worked with C-level leaders in the US and globally to improve urban education. She has been on the faculty of George Washington University and John Jay College of Criminal Justice CUNY. Nita is trained, studied and practiced in various coaching modalities, restorative justice, conflict resolution, has held leadership roles in the NYC Department of Education, and was a consultant in the Federal and Public Sector Practices of the private consulting firm BearingPoint. She’s Founding Board President of Solar Responders which has installed solar + storage on fire stations in Puerto Rico. In 2013, she founded b*free to transform Workplaces to HealingSpaces and unleash greater wellbeing and creative potential in all people.
Nita is a native New Yorker from Queens, the daughter of East Indian immigrants, a yogi who plays the harmonium, and holds a BA from Columbia University and MBA from George Washington University.
